Ordinary gauze masks. Ordinary gauze masks are fibrous masks. Its flow-blocking principle is to isolate larger particles through a layer of mechanical barriers, but cannot block particles with a diameter less than 5 microns. The most common gauze masks are the least effective at protecting airborne particles. The main function of cotton masks is to keep warm and prevent cold air from directly irritating the respiratory tract. Cotton masks have good air permeability, but they have almost no dust-proof and anti-bacterial effect. In the high epidemic period and haze weather, cotton masks have little effect.
